people who support incest and / or pedophilia shouldn't be trusted or supported.
sure, they say that they only support the consensual shit, but they still support people who try to start a sexual interaction with CHILDREN or the people that have been convinced that they're supposed to only fall in love with their blood relatives.
that's the long and the short of it, but there's more that isn't Necessary to read if u have a short attention span like me lmao
some facts about incest:
- sure, it may not cause genetic defects unless it persists over time, but there is still a very high chance of those defects happening. hell, a lot of the defects themselves are fatal or cause overwhelming difficulty / sickness for the people afflicted with them.
- it's mentioned in the bible to be illegal, but there are cases of it. what's worse is that incest between a man and his daughter (biologically related or not) was considered to be an exception, and the current cases of these relationships are almost ALWAYS a situation involving r*pe or grooming.
- as mentioned above, almost all of the cases of blood-related incest are caused by r*pe or grooming. notable examples are a parent r*ping their child, a grandparent molesting their grandchild (sometimes with the parent's permission), an uncle/aunt molesting their nephew/niece (again, sometimes with the parent's permission), or a person r*ping/being r*ped by their cousin. although most of the offenders in this case are male, there are quite a few cases where a female has sexually assaulted a relative.
- i've met a victim of parental r*pe in the past, and she developed a VERY serious case of PTSD from the experience. anything even remotely tied to a memory of her father caused her to either experience an intense panic attack or lash out in anger at anyone who tried to comfort her.
- it might be romanticized in company-produced porn, but then again, company-produced porn romanticizes sexual assault, VIOLENT misogyny, and multiple harmful stereotypes (like gay men stalking and assaulting straight men, lesbians being secretly sex-crazed for men, or trans people being fetishized to the point that they'll have sex with anyone they see).
- incest, even if consensual at first, can be traumatizing. if you feel uncomfortable being around a friend you used to date, imagine that the "friend" was someone who you see every day due to you being FAMILY.
- the daddy/mommy kink may be commonplace now, but it's disgusting. it implies that you imagine your sexual partner to be your parent. it implies BOTH incestual fantasies and pedophilic fantasies (as many DDLG relationships involve the LG acting like a baby). not many people realize this, and genuinely don't support the implications, but it has been normalized by incest/pedo supporters to the point that the misunderstanding can still happen.
and now about pedophiles!
- children have been taught to never enter a complete stranger's house or car if they are asked to do so. this is solely because pedophilia and murder at the hands of adults used to be (and sadly, still is) overwhelmingly prominent in the real world.
- grooming exists. teaching underage people that it's OKAY for an adult to say sexual comments about you or that fantasizing about a sexual situation with them is okay is fucking DISGUSTING.
- reverse grooming is the same. you might get a puppy crush on your teacher, but if you try to start a relationship in ANY manner with them, you're putting them at a high risk of being arrested for pedophilia. (this is also romanticized in porn but it's more directed toward college student-teacher relationships which is still. Bad)
- if someone made an entire show about catching predators trying to r*pe children and it lasted TWO ENTIRE SEASONS (totaling in 27 episodes) with an active pedophile being caught in every episode, this goes to show that a very scary majority of people who call themselves MAPS (minor-attracted people, another word for pedophile) are sexual predators.
- also NOMAPS are "non-offending minor attracted people". they usually say they don't support sexual relationships with a child or interacting with a real child, but they are still SEXUALLY ATTRACTED TO CHILDREN. they are NOT to be trusted, EVER.
